Series Preview: Reds @ Mets

Friday night the Cincinnati Reds will be traveling to Citi Field to take on the New York Mets.

The New York Mets:

They are 37-37 this season, while boasting an impressive 26-11 record at home. The Mets have lost seven of their last 10 games. They are currently on a streak of one win, if you can even consider that a streak. The team’s first win of said streak came against the Milwaukee Brewers, whom beat the Mets two of three times. Those two losses from the Brew Crew were all included in a seven game losing streak that also included a three game sweep by the Atlanta Braves.

For the record, it is not a streak one way or the other unless it is at least three games. So the Reds have won two in a row, which included two of three from the Wild Card Front Runner Pittsburgh Pirates. The Reds were also able to take two of three from the Miami Marlins and Detroit Tigers in that stretch.
