For the third straight series and ninth straight game in a row, the series preview saga will start off the same way;

The Cincinnati Reds will look to stop the California Mudslide this season has been against the Colorado Rockies at Great American Ball Park. The Reds (18-25) will host the Rockies (17-25) for a three game set.

Noteworthy: This is the Reds longest losing streak since 2009.

Reds Manager Bryan Price will continue his attempts to shake things up. Hamilton will be batting 9th today behind the pitcher, a practice seen with regularity by Chicago Cubs Manager Joe Madden and former St. Louis Cardinals Manager Tony LaRussa.

It will be interesting to see how things shape out with Hamilton hitting in the spot reserved for the worst starting hitter on the team.
