looking to stop a three game skid that started Friday night against the San Francisco Giants. The probable starters for tonight’s game are Reds pitcher Johnny Cueto and Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura.
The last time that Cueto pitched against Kansas City was in 2010. He went 6.0 IP while giving up six runs, four free passes, and six strikeouts. He ended up winning that game.
Ventura has never faced Cincinati.
The Lineup looks like this:
- SS Zack Cozart
- C Brayan Peña
- 1B Joey Votto
- 3B Todd Frazier
- LF Marlon Byrd
- 2B Brandon Phillips
- RF Jay Bruce
- DH Devin Mesoraco
- CF Billy Hamilton
Reds Manager Bryan Price will continue to bat Hamilton in the lower part of the order looking to shake things up from a thus far disappointing 2015 campaign.
Wednesday’s game features Reds pitcher Jason Marquis (3-3, 6.63) hurling against the Royals Jeremy Guthrie (3-2, 5.44). Both pitchers are struggling and looking to stop the bleeding. Guthrie went 5.0 IP in his last start with two ER against the Texas Rangers. Marquis lasted just three innings while giving up seven hits for six runs.
