What to Watch:
It seems like Bengals training camp just got started, but a lot has happened in a week. Andy Dalton signed a big new contract, Geno Atkins and Clint Boling showed up with functioning knees after off-season ACL surgery, and Marvin Lewis raved about Margus Hunt. While Atkins and Boling won’t play tonight, Dalton and Hunt will be in uniform, giving fans a chance to see if the camp hype has been justified. Other players to watch include rookie center Russell Bodine, rookie running back Jeremy Hill, and any of the the guys jockeying for position in the secondary or along the defensive line.

Maybe most prominent of all on the “to watch” list are the overall offensive and defensive schemes, both of which are being guided by new coordinators this season in Hue Jackson (offense) and Paul Guenther (defense). The defense was already stout last season and figures to see little change, but Jackson tends to favor a strong, physical running game over a finesse passing attack, so it will be interesting to see how that transition is progressing at this early date.
Most of all, though, the thing to watch is some good, ol’ fashioned live football after a long, long offseason!
