Devin Mesoraco has been one of the biggest, most pleasant surprises of this season for Reds. Heck, he’s been the best surprise for Cincinnati baseball maybe since the Ken Griffey, Jr., trade. With 16 homers, the 26-year-old has already nearly doubled his previous career best, and his OPS stands at .984 over 60 games. He’s also solid behind the plate, giving Cincinnati some much-needed offense from an unexpected source.
