Simon got the late call on Sunday afternoon thanks to four starting pitchers from the original NL roster throwing for their teams just before the break.   Simon won’t start the game, but he should get serious consideration by NL manager Mike Matheny once the game gets rolling and substitutions are being made.  How can you leave the league leader in wins sitting in your bullpen when you need an arm?   You can’t.
