Final Predictions for the Cincinnati Reds’ All-Star Fates

All of you who thought before the season that Simon would be in the All-Star discussion, as a starter, raise your hands. Thanks. It’s always good to know who is willing to lie to you.
The truth is that Simon has done a simply amazing job filling in for the injured Tony Cingrani and has a strong case for making the All-Star squad (10-3, 2.81 ERA, 1.052 WHIP). As in the outfield, though, there are many other strong candidates, and Matheny probably won’t be too anxious to load up his bullpen with Reds.
Prediction: Left off roster
