The Cincinnati Bearcats game against the East Carolina Pirates has been moved from Saturday November 15th to Thursday November 13th the American Athletic Conference announced on Monday. The game will be played at Paul Brown Stadium at 7pm on ESPN2.
2014 will mark the first season in the AAC for East Carolina. It will mark the second football season for the AAC as well as they welcome three new members. East Carolina will be joined by Tulsa and Tulane for the 2014 season.
The UC and ECU matchup this November will mark the 18th meeting between the two universities. East Carolina leads the all time series with a 12-5 record. While both schools were members of Conference USA the Bearcats won their last three meetings in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
Cincinnati will be playing their home games inside Paul Brown Stadium this season while their regular home Nippert Stadium undergoes an expansion and renovation. Paul Brown Stadium home of the Cincinnati Bengals is a world class facility, the Bearcats have played games there most recently during the 2012 and 2011 seasons.
As for playing on Thursday night the Cincinnati Enquire reports that the Bearcats are 11-3 on Thursday night with an 8-1 record when playing at home. Cincinnati always shows up for Thursday night games, there is no reason to think this season will be any different.
A nationally televised game on ESPN2 beats being shown on ESPN3 on Saturday any day of the week. The only other game on the 2014 schedule to have the kickoff time announced is the Ohio State game which will take place September 7th at 6pm. That game will have everyone talking.
