April is almost over and I couldn’t be happier. Just something about rain and random weather that annoys me. What doesn’t annoy me though is a Cincinnati Reds win and the Cyclones advancing in the ECHL Playoffs.

It rained and stormed in Cincinnati yesterday, obviously, you live here you know that. Rain came down sideways, wind was gusting hard pushing me all over the highway. Well while you though we had it bad you should see the pictures of Pensacola, Florida. Holy crap.

That is a bridge turned river. Insane.

That used to be a car dealership. Pensacola received somewhere around 14 inches of rain yesterday. Yes they measured their rain how we measure our snow. Hope the Blue Wahoo’s are doing fine.

Cincinnati Reds (12-14)

How many of these mini marathons will the Reds play this season? Another game interrupted by rain, a game that lasted nearly 5 hours. At the end of the day the Reds came home with a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs, so no complaining.

Alfredo Simon continued his spectacular start to the season going 6 innings strong for the Reds Tuesday night. Simon will finish April with a 1.60 ERA, second best on the staff and sixth best in the National League. Not bad for a reliever turned starter.

Billy Hamilton had a banner night for the Reds Tuesday night. The young center fielder went 3-4, scoring 2 runs, stealing a base, hitting his first home run and making a spectacular diving catch in center field. Not bad for the rookie.

The Reds and Cubs are back at it Wednesday night at 7:10.

Cincinnati Clippers

Twitter was abuzz last night with the hopes the Los Angeles Clippers could soon be up for sale leading to the potential that the franchise could move. Where would they move? Cincinnati of course.

While it is a far stretch it is fun to dream, imagine Blake Griffin and Chris Paul calling Cincinnati home. Read the whole write up here.

Cincinnati Cyclones

After dropping Game 4 and Game 5 in Cincinnati, both potentially were series ending games. Coming back to Cincinnati the Cyclones led 2-0, a win in Game 3 put the Cyclones up 3-0. They would drop their next two sending them back to Orlando leading 3-2. With a game Tuesday night the Cyclones could end the series, and they did.

A 2-1 win Tuesday send the Cyclones to the Eastern Conference Semifinals to face the Fort Wayne Komets who knocked off the #1 seeded Reading Royals. The Cyclones v. Komets series starts Friday May 2nd at 7:35pm.

Video of the Day

When you have a crowd, 5 people, you can’t back out. Man up and jump that guard rail. Granted you aren’t that talented and you just destroyed your teeth, but hey, you got respect. To everyone shooting anything with a phone, turn it sideways! Landscape people, LANDSCAPE!
