So food poisoning sucks. Ate lunch at my parents Sunday, saw potato salad in the back for the refrigerator so I figured that would go well with a brat. I should have known something was wrong when my dad said “I didn’t know we had potato salad.” Needless to say, it was bad and I have been miserable since.
Not to mention the Cincinnati Reds lost Sunday as well. Just add to my misery. And the Cyclones lost back to back clinching games this weekend. Let us all hope this losing trend turns back around.
This biblical rain is ridiculous this morning too. Lighting, house shaking thunder, and torrential downpours is exactly how I wanted to start my Monday morning. Oh and I have to go to campus today as well. Wonderful.
Cincinnati Reds
Swept. The Reds got swept for the first time this season. At least they got swept by a very good team in the Atlanta Braves. A 1-0 loss thanks to a 10th inning walk off single. Another phenomenal outing by Johnny Cueto put the Reds in position, JJ Hoover couldn’t hold on for the Reds though.
A Freddie Freeman single scored Jason Heyward sending the Braves home with the W and Cincinnati back home with a three game losing streak. The Reds have problems that still need to be addressed, the bullpen for starters and the offense needs to manufacture runs.
Cincinnati returns to Great American Ballpark tonight for a three game series against the Chicago Cubs.
Playoff Hockey
If playoff hockey hasn’t got you fired up and asking why Cincinnati doesn’t make a push for an NHL team then you must not have a pulse. Just watch the Blue Jackets game tonight, Nationwide Arena in Columbus will be packed and it will be loud.
The Blue Jackets are on the ropes tonight, Pittsburgh has a 3-2 series lead. Tonight at 7pm the two teams face off for Game 6, watch it live on FSOhio.
The Cincinnati Cyclones take their 3-2 series lead back to Orlando after dropping two of three at home. The Cyclones and the Solar Bears face off at 7:35pm. Check back for Game 6 details.
Video of the Day
So Brewers and Cubs fans fought in the upper deck of Miller Park this past week. The Brewers appear to have no security, or at least none in the upper decks because damn.
