The moment you’ve all been waiting for. The Cincinnati Bengals have released their preseason schedule for the 2014 season. Pre-season games are generally meaningless they draw huge crowds of eager fans that can’t wait to see their team back on the field.
Here is the Bengals preseason schedule:
TBD | TBD | at Kansas City | TBD | Arrowhead Stadium |
TBD | TBD | NY JETS | TBD | Paul Brown Stadium |
Sunday | 8/24 | at Arizona | 8:00 p.m. on NBC | University of Phoenix Stadium |
Thursday | 8/28 | INDIANAPOLIS | TBD | Paul Brown Stadium |
A primetime game is set for the Bengals when they head to Arizona on August 24th to face the Cardinals. The last game of week three leads the Bengals into the first game of the final week of the preseason. Essentially a three day week will not give the Bengals much time to prepare for the Indianapolis Colts.
Before the Bengals can face the Cardinals they must first take on the Kansas City Chiefs on a date to be determined at Arrowhead Stadium. The Bengals did not face the Chiefs in 2013, in 2012 they defeated the Chiefs at Arrowhead 28-6. The following week they will play the NY Jets at Paul Brown Stadium, the Bengals dominated the Jets in 2013 at Paul Brown Stadium 49-9.
As for the Cardinals the Bengals have not played them since 2011 when the Bengals defeated Arizona 23-16 at PBS. The Bengals and the Colts met twice last season both times in Cincinnati, once in the preseason and once in the regular season. Cincinnati won both times 27-10 and 42-28.
The regular season schedule will be made public in the coming weeks. Likely following the draft.
