Reds Walk Off
If you stayed up late last night you were treated to a Cincinnati Reds walk off win over the hated St. Louis Cardinals. If you were there like me you enjoyed a nice 2 hour and 45 minute rain delay standing in the concourse waiting to see if the tarp would ever come off.
About the time we were ready to call it a night and head home Joey Votto came running out onto the field to an abundance of applause. Then the announcement came that the post game fireworks would become pre game fireworks and first pitch would be around 9:50pm.
The best part of Wednesday night besides the fact the game actually got going was the fact the rain delay allowed for three hours of pre gaming. That much alcohol combined with that much time standing around led to a very loud, very vocal crowd come first pitch. From our seats behind the Cardinals dugout Yadier Molina was called everything under the sun by a group of hammered Reds fans. Made my night.
A walk off win made the entire night worth it. By the way how great was Cingrani? Kid was pumped, great to see.
AAC Expansion?
Will the AAC expand? UMass seemed to think so when they left the MAC last week. The AAC though does not seem interested in adding UMass. Although they would be great competition for the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Bengals are moving to LA
The Bengals are moving to LA, at least a few thousand people seemed to think so. An April Fools day joke went viral from this site, it was great to see it spread like wildfires and incite panic on twitter. The Bengals are here to stay in Cincinnati for the next decade, don’t worry everyone.
Chris Mack Staying
Wake Forest appears to be moving on to another coaching candidate. Tulsa’s Danny Manning has become their new number one target, that is great news for Xavier fans that wanted Chris Mack to stay.
Reds Take On Cards In Rubber Match
If the rain ever stops the Reds and the Cardinals will play today at 12:35pm. Perhaps Russell Crowe can build a boat to get everyone there, you didn’t see that movie? Yeah me either. Homer Bailey takes the mound for the Reds in his first start of the season. Check out the game preview from Jesse Mapati on this site.
Video of the Day
Hawaii’s stairway to heaven. Absolutely amazing view, video is a little long but well worth it.
