Cincinnati Reds 25 Man Roster

The Cincinnati Reds finalized their 25-man roster for their Opening Day game tomorrow afternoon against the St Louis Cardinals.
Aroldis Chapman and Sean Marshall, Mat Latos and catcher Devin Mesoraco were placed on the 15-day disabled list, which also includes Jonathan Broxton and new red Skip Schumaker. Jack Hannahan and pitcher Brett Marshall were placed to the 60-day DL.
The Reds designated pitcher Pedro Beato for assignment and resigned outfielder Jason Bourgeois, righty Jumbo Diaz, lefty Jeff Francis, catcher Corky Miller and infielder-outfielder Kristopher Negron to Triple A Louisville.
Also, Cincinnati recalled catcher Tucker Barnhart and righty Curtis Partch and select the contracts of right hand pitcher Trevor Bell, outfielder Roger Bernadina and infielder Ramon Santiago. Bell, Bernadina and Santiago all made the team as non roster invites to Spring Training and had to be added to the 40 man roster. With Mesoraco on the disabled list, Barnhart is expected to be the backup catcher for Brayan Pena
The Reds will start the season with 12 pitchers and 13 position players.
Pitchers: Homer Bailey, Trevor Bell, Nick Christiani,Tony Cingrani,Johnny Cueto,J.J. Hoover,Mike Leake,Sam LeCure,Manny Parra,Curtis Partch, Alfredo Simon, Logan Ondrusek.
Catchers: Tucker Barnhart, Brayan Pena.
Infielders: Zack Cozart, Todd Frazier, Brandon Phillips, Neftali Soto, Joey Votto, Ramon Santiago.
Outfielders: Roger Bernadina, Jay Bruce, Billy Hamilton, Chris Heisey, Ryan Ludwick.
