Selection Sunday is among us today and the question on all Cincinnati Bearcats fans minds today is where will the Bearcats be seeded and where will they be playing. Bracketology has become a season long phenomenon with fans and the media. Multiple outlets project the seedings so where do the Bearcats end up?

A few weeks ago a number of outlets had the Bearcats as high as a #3 seed, today as we look the Bearcats have dropped a little bit:

ESPN: Joe Lunardi has the Bearcats as a #5 seed in the South bracket. This would match up the Bearcats to face Harvard. The #5 and #12 match ups always set up upsets and Harvard could be a dangerous team. Should Cincinnati advance it would set up a rematch of last seasons second round game against the Creighton Blue Jays.

Yahoo!: Brad Evans has the Bearcats as a #5 seed as well. He doesn’t place the teams in brackets like ESPN does but assume they’ll likely face Harvard as well.

CBS Sports:  Has the Bearcats as a #3 seed in the East bracket facing #14 Mercer in the first round. The interesting part of this projection is the potential second round match up between either Kentucky or Dayton. #3 seems too high though for the Bearcats.

SB Nation: Currently has Cincinnati as a #4 seed in the East bracket facing Delaware in the first round with a potential second round matchup against UCLA.

USA Today: Is the most interesting bracket, they have Cincinnati as a #4 seed facing #13 Tulsa in the first round. The interesting match up comes in the second round where the Bearcats could potentially face Ohio State. If the football game next season doesn’t already have the fan bases fired up this game would ignite a civil war in Ohio.

None of these predictions mean anything, the only thing that matters is the Selection Sunday show tonight at 6pm ET on CBS.

My prediction: Cincinnati will be a #4 seed, what bracket? I haven’t a clue.
