A week after losing to SMU and slipping down to #10 in the polls the Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball team has moved back up to #7 in this weeks poll. Once again they tie the highest ranking for a Mick Cronin coached team at Cincinnati.
Cincinnati beat the Houston Cougars on Saturday in front of a sold out Fifth Third Arena, the game was not pretty but the Bearcat pulled away in the last four minutes. That win combined with losses from Kansas, Villanova and Michigan State.
This week the Bearcats have a game against the UCF Golden Knights Wednesday night in Orlando hopefully everyone one focuses on that game first before the big Louisville matchup on Saturday. Louisville comes into the game ranked 11th in the nation, the highest these two teams have been ranked while facing each other. That is still not enough for College GameDay to come to Cincinnati though, instead ESPN will be taking their show to Colorado for a game between the Buffaloes and the Arizona Wildcats.
Forget about that though, Cincinnati has the #7 team in the country, only three losses on the season and sitting in a phenomenal spot for the tournament. Another two wins this week will surely lead to another bump in the rankings.
