Sean Kilpatrick Named AAC Player Of The Week

Cincinnati Bearcats senior guard Sean Kilpatrick has been named the American Athletic Conference player of the week for the second straight week.
The senior out of Yonkers, New York averaged 24.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4 three pointers. The team overall went 1-1 during the week, defeating No. 24 Connecticut Huskies 63-58 at Fifth Third Arena last Thursday, and losing at No. 23 SMU 77-56 this past Saturday.
Kilpatrick had his best game of the season so far, last week against UCONN, dropped 26 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and connected on 6 assists. He put on a show in the second half, scoring 17 points with some clutch three pointers and free throws.
He had a 22 point effort at SMU, while going 9-11 from the free throw line in the team’s blowout lost to SMU on Saturday.
Kilpatrick was named AAC player of the week last week after averaging 23 points per game in the Bearcats two wins during the week, including a 28 point performance at No. 13 Louisville on Jan 30.
The Bearcats dropped only three spots on the AP poll, ranking 10th in this week poll that came out Monday afternoon. Last week they were at No. 7.
