This was going to be the year, 23 years Cincinnati Bengals fans waited for a playoff year and the 2013 playoffs were going to be it. Well Bengals fans forgot who the Bengals were. Head Coach Marvin Lewis combine that with quarterback Andy Dalton and Offensive Coordinator Jay Gruden and you have what happened Sunday.
You all know the score, you all know what happened. Dalton played like absolute trash, collapsing under the pressure. The defense that was so powerful all year failed to stop the Chargers Sunday. Marvin Lewis and his staff failed to do anything in the second half. And all you wonderful people let your feelings be known on twitter.
Before we get into the hate, let that tweet digest. “one of the best”
Bengals D are not looking like themselves right now

Bengals are done

Bengals have the same problem as Ohio State... They forgot you need a secondary

These bengals players yelling at each other like they don't have any chemistry
— 🌴9-3🌴 (@JoeMainey_) January 5, 2014
Then there was this tweet. You don’t want to here anything about Marvin or Andy? Nothing? Awful management and 2 interceptions plus how many throw away passes? All we are going to talk about is those two.
Then came the Bengals defensive praise tweets. Bi-Polar Bengals fans.
The defense keeping them in this football game. When is a team going to show the respect Mike Zimmer deserves & gives him a HC opportunity?
— Mike Hill (@ItsMikeHill) January 5, 2014
Bengals defense is what's keeping them in this game forcing field goals instead of TD's the past two drives. Now dalton has to step it up
— Sean Scanlon (@scanlon93) January 5, 2014
Then came the Andy Dalton tweets. These are the nicest of the hate tweets.
Tommy Rees is better than Andy Dalton.

Andy dalton can't get it done in the playoffs #Bengals #intangibles
— ryman (@THEryantillman) January 5, 2014
If that isn’t enough for you, you know what is coming next. The fire Marvin Lewis and Jay Gruden tweets were next.
Typical Cincy. Never show up when it's time. As for Marvin Lewis: 11 seasons and not a single playoff victory. Enough's Enough. Goodbye!
— Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) January 5, 2014
Jay gruden for head coach? Anyone ?
— Whodeyfans (@WhoDeyFans) January 5, 2014
I will be shocked if Marvin Lewis keeps his Job. He will be another causality of poor Quarterback play! If he survives, he needs a new QB!

What I'd do (but Mike Brown never would):
— Danny V. (@DTV89) January 5, 2014
1. Fire Marvin. Promote Zimmer.
2. Draft Mettenberger late 1st round.
3. Dalton starts w/ a leash
Feel free to explore twitter for yourself for some more hate tweets. Andy Dalton said Monday that he expects to be in Cincinnati for “a long time” that surely isn’t what Bengals fans wanted to hear. Feel free to explore twitter for those as well.
