Cincinnati Bengals Tuesday Practice Report.
By Jesse Mapati
The Cincinnati Bengals were missing eight players from Tuesday afternoon practice, as they held their first session in preparation of the regular season finale game against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday.
Linebacker Vontaze Burfict, who didn’t practice because he is under concussion protocol this week. He suffered a head injury in the Bengals 42-14 rout victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
Other players not a practice today were Andre Smith, Vincent Rey, Terrance Newman, Dre Kirkpatrick and Tyler Eifert. Newman has missed the last two games, after suffering a MCL sprain in week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts. It looks like he will miss this weekend game, and the likely hood he’ll return for the playoffs.
Eifert left the game on Sunday with a stinger. Smith left with a sprained ankle. Good news, Linebacker James Harrison returned to the practice fields today, after being inactive on Sunday with a concussion he suffered at Pittsburgh in Week 15.
