Cincinnati Bengals Thursday Practice Report.
By Jesse Mapati
The concussion bug is hitting the Cincinnati Bengals locker room at the wrong time. Offensive linemen Andrew Whitworth missed Thursday’s practice, after he suffered a concussion on Wednesday.
The lineman was moved from the outside of the offensive line to the inside, three weeks ago and has made a huge difference in the running game and pass protection.
Defensive end Carlos Dunlap and Linebacker James Harrison didn’t take part at practice today, after both sustained concussions in last Sunday game at Pittsburgh.
If Whitworh doesn’t go in this weekend home game against the Minnesota Vikings, it will be backup Anthony Collins to take his spot. And right guard Kevin Zeitler, will likely be forced back in to the starting rotation.
Zeitler had been active the last two game, after missing a month with a foot injury. Backup Mike Pollak has done a solid job in his replace the last five games.
Did Not Practice: Carlos Dunlap, James Harrison, Terrance Newman, Devon Still, Andrew Whitworth
Limited: Kevin Zeitler
