Cincinnati Bengals Wednesday Practice Report.
By Jesse Mapati
Today at the Bengals practice front, it was obvious that cornerback Terrance Newman missed the practice session, with a MCL sprain he suffered Sunday against the Colts.
On Monday, it was reported that Newman would be out for this weekend’s game at Pittsburgh against the Steelers on Sunday night, and could miss the remaining two games of the regular season.
Running back BenJarvus Green-Eills also didn’t practice as well today. The report is that he was out with an illness. Green Eills ran for two touchdowns in the win on Sunday against the Colts, and in the last two games he has run for three scores. Overall four other players were limited at practice today, which included Linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
There were good news in the front today, offensive guard Kevin Zeitler practiced in full participation. Safety George IIoka was put in a concussion protocol, after the game on Sunday, he left the game with a hit to the helmet. Today, the training staff was able to clear him. He practiced today, it is huge that he will be on the field this Sunday.
We also want to congratulate quarterback Andy Dalton on being named AFC offensive player of the week. It is the third time he has won the award this season.
