there is one last game to play as the Indianapolis Colts come to town for a final tune up before Week 1.

Tonights game is essentially pointless, look for the first string to be in for one series then the backups will be in the rest of the night. Marvin Lewis has said it will depend on the game as to how long starters stay in. If it is anything like last season though Dalton and the rest of the starters will only be in for one series.

There are a few players that are questionable for tonight, Andrew Whitworth will miss the game tonight, he has not played this preseason. Whitworth reassured the media this week that he will be ready in time for the season opener in Chicago. Anthony Collins will start in Whitworth’s place tonight.

Concussions were an issue for the Bengals over the last week CB Dre Kirkpatrick and CB Brandon Ghee were both still experiencing concussion symptoms this week. It is unknown what their status is for tonight.

The four starters that sat out last week against the Cowboys, Adam Jones, James Harrison, Robert Geathers and Carlos Dunlap all appear to be ready for tonight after practicing this week.

This weeks game is not about the starters though. Tonight is about the guys that are trying to make the 53 man roster that will be on the field week 1 against the Chicago Bears. JK Schaffer is the hot topic around Cincinnati, he will certainly get plenty of playing time tonight to impress the staff. Jayson DiManche and Shaun Prater will also see a fair amount of time. All players are looking to impress as they fight for their NFL lives tonight.

If you want to tune in tonight you will either have to attend the game or wait until 11:35. It is blacked out because the game was not a sellout. The NFL needs to change that rule for the preseason.
