4pm deadline. There were no major surprises in the 6 moves, all are relatively low key.

Cincinnati waived two players this morning, Guard Otis Hudson and Tackle Jason Weaver. Having been placed on waivers they can be claimed by another team in the NFL or once they clear waivers they are free to sign with any team they please.

The team then placed two players onto the Injured Reserve list meaning these players must sit out the first 6 games of the Bengals season. Linebackers Brandon Joiner and Sean Porter were placed on IR. Joiner was carted off the field last week with a torn ACL, after missing the 2012 season because of off season issues this is not what the undrafted 2nd year player needed. If Joiner isn’t claimed off waiver he will be placed on the IR. Porter was placed on IR due to a shoulder injury.

As for the Physically Unable to Perform list the Bengals placed Fullback Chris Pressley and Quarterback Zac Robinson on the PUP list. Pressely due to a knee injury and Robison due to an elbow injury.

Once again no surprises really. The Porter injury isn’t great as he was expected to back up James Harrison. Thankfully though none of these players were sure fire impact players for the Bengals.
