Reds Sign Young Cuban Outfielder

The Cincinnati Reds have reportedly signed 20-year-old Cuban outfielder, Raydel Medina. The deal is only worth $400,000 and has not yet been approved by Major League Baseball.

Medina is a 6-foot-2, 200 pound, left-handed, outfeilder. While he is Cuban born, he has most recently lived in the country of Haiti.

Raydel Medina, according to Baseball America, has above-average speed, great bat speed, and a decent amount of power. You can expect him to start next season either in Rookie ball or in low-class A.
