Maualuga was Cincinnati’s second round pick in the 2009 draft out of the University of Southern California. Maualuga has been a key part of the Bengals defense as well as a vocal force in the locker room. Such a vocal force the Bengals and head coach Marvin Lewis awarded him with a captain “C”.

Maualuga is only 26, in this four years in the league he has recorded 348 tackles, 3 sacks and 3 interceptions in that time. He has missed some games to injury during that time.

Maualuga has only had one run in with the police while in Cincinnati, much better than some of his teammates. He has always been great to the city and the community. Last year he stopped by our tailgate before the game on his segway, took some pictures, shook some hands than talked for awhile. He is a great representative of the Bengals.
