The Morning Update (4/10) Cincinnati Reds, Bengals

How people could ever dislike puppies is beyond me. Unless you’re allergic to them then by all means run away don’t die. If you’re not though they’re so adorable, like toddlers just without the crying. Watching two grown men try to train my girlfriends puppies last night probably made my week. When I say puppies I mean the male is about 65 pounds at 6 months and the female is probably 40 pounds.

There is something about watching grown men try to relate to puppies on a secular level that made me laugh, also it told me to stay in school for the next two weeks so I get a very nice piece of card stock. “blah blah blah Matt Niehaus hereby receives his degree from the University of Cincinnati” or whatever it says. I’ll tell you when it comes in the mail.

That’s all beyond the point though, the Cincinnati Reds won yesterday!

Cincinnati Reds

A businessmans special in St. Louis is apparently exactly what the Reds needed to get their third win of the season yesterday. A dominant outing by Mike Leake that saw the 5th year vet go 8 innings strong.

Oh and Billy Hamilton showed up in a big way yesterday. Remember the Billy Hamilton you all wanted to bench after three bad games to start the season, remember him? Here is his stat line from yesterday 3-4, 2 runs, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases. Not to mention scoring from third on a pop fly that by no other player could have scored on. This is the Billy Hamilton everyone was waiting for.

By the way, Reds won 4-0. They return to GABP Friday to face the Tampa Bay Rays.
