The Cincinnati Reds and St Louis Cardinals will meet for the sixth time already this season as they will play the finale of their three game series, with the Cardinals looking for the sweep.

All three of the games between the two teams in the season’s first series at Cincinnati were decided by one run. The Reds lost to St. Louis by two runs on Monday and lost by a 7-5 score on Tuesday.

After six meetings in their first nine games of 2014, Wednesday’s series finale with Mike Leake pitching for the Reds against the Cardinals’ Shelby Miller will be the last time the two teams see each other for a while. They will meet again from May 23-25 in Cincinnati.

The Cardinals are in a stretch of starting the year with 15 games against NL Central opponents. The Reds play their division in 19 of their first 28 games.

First pitch is at 1:45pm, game will be back on FSN Ohio or you can catch the game on the radio (700 WLW). Yeah, it’s a must win game of course.

After this game today, the Reds will head back home and will have a day off tomorrow, then on Friday the Tampa Bay Rays come in for a three game weekend series. After that, Pittsburgh Pirates come to the GABP for three, beginning on Monday night.
