Does the name Sydney Moss mean anything to you? If not it should, possibly the best kept secret in the Cincinnati sports scene is former NFL player Randy Moss’ daughter. Friday night she made national headlines as she dropped 63 points in her conferences tournament. The 5’11” sophomore plays for Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

63 points is what Sydney Moss did Friday night against Waynesburg University breaking the former NCAA Division III record set by Ann Gilbert 23 years ago. Gilbert set the record at 61 points, two less than Moss who broke the record with 18 seconds left in the game thanks to 2 free throws.

Thomas More plays in the President’s Athletic Conference, with their win Friday night the Saints move on to the conference championship game on Saturday against Washington and Jefferson College. The game will be played in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

According to ESPN Sydney Moss and her father Randy have had very little contact over the course of her life. Sydney grew up in Florida while Randy pursued his NFL career. The younger Moss went to the University of Florida before transferring to Thomas More.

RFB will update tonight if Thomas More wins their conference championship or if Moss has another record night.
