The No. 7 ranked Cincinnati Bearcats Men’s Basketball team bounced back last Saturday after seeing their 15 game winning streak snapped a week and a half ago. They defeated the Houston Cougars 73-62, led by senior guard Sean Kilpatrick with 28 points, including 19 in the second half.

The team is in Florida to take on the Central Florida Knights tonight. A historic game for then.

It will be first time UCF has hosted a top 10 team. This one has all the meaning of a “trap game”.

“I think you have to understand the opponent and their mindset, it’s a huge game for Central Florida. Head Coach Mick Cronin said. “Any time you have a top-10 team coming, it’s a chance for a big win.”

While every UC student is eyeing the showdown at Fifth Third Arena Saturday afternoon against No. 11 Louisville Cardinals, Cronin said the key for his squad will be maintaining focus and not look ahead.

“This time of year, you see this go on quite a bit. Cronin said.”Teams come out and lay an egg, so to speak. So we have to understand that Central Florida can beat us, and if we don’t play well, we will get beat.”

Bearcats won the first meeting in Cincinnati 69-51 back on Jan 23. I expect a close and rock fight game, what else is new? I don’t want to get court stormed again, this game scares me and they have to be ready to play.

Prediction: UC 66, UCF 58

Tip-off is at 7pm, TV: ESPNU, Radio: 700 WLW.
