Following their disappointing loss at the hands of the American Athletic Conference officials the Cincinnati Bearcats are headed to Charlotte, North Carolina once again this season to play in the Belk Bowl. Cincinnati returns to Charlotte one year after a great comeback win over the Duke Blue Devils behind then junior quarterback Brendon Kay.

Cincinnati (9-3) will face they North Carolina Tarheels (6-6)this season in the Belk Bowl on December 28th at 3:20pm on ESPN. The Bearcats and the Tarheels have never played at least not in any recent deceased. This matchup is between the #3 team from the American Athletic Conference and the #6 team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Bearcats go into the Belk Bowl looking for their third consecutive 10+ win season in a row. Only 6 other teams in college football have had as many 10+ win season in the last 5 years as the Bearcats.

Senior quarterback Brendon Kay will lead Cincinnati into Charlotte behind his 3,108 yards and 22 touchdowns this season looking to repeat last years great Belk Bowl performance.

As for North Carolina they were a lack luster team this season starting off 1-5 and finishing 6-6 is certainly nothing to hang your hat on but Cincinnati must still prepare for the Tarheels and their sophomore quarterback Marqise Williams and his running abilities.

We’ll have a full break down as we get close to the game. Until then enjoy some Bearcats basketball.
