preseason home opener agains the Tennessee Titans. 43,462 were in attendance Saturday night and the Bengals sent them home happy with a 27-19 win over the Titans.

Cincinnati looked very good in Atlanta, Saturday night the team looked just as good. Andy Dalton played the first two series of the game throwing his first touchdown of the preseason to Mohamed Sanu on an impressive catch in the corner of the endzone. Dalton went 9/14 115yds and 1 TD. A great night for the second year product from TCU.

Giovanni Bernanrd had another solid night, 7 carries for 37 yards and 1 touchdown. Nothing outstanding but a solid night for the young rookie from UNC. An Ohio product Daniel Herron out of OSU had 9 carries for 81 yards and 1 touchdown. Cincinnati looks to be covered in the running back category.

Brandon Tate and Mohamed Sanu solidified themselves as numbers 2 and 3 in the wide receiving corps. Number 1 receiver AJ Green watched from the sideline again Saturday night as he continues to rehab his bruised knee. He will be ready for week 1 of the regular season.

Defensively the Bengals have a very sound back up plan incase anything happens to the first string. The young guns on the team starters and backups have the Bengals set for years to come if they all stay. Taylor Mays, Vontaze Burfict, Dre Kirkpatrick and others contributed Saturday night solidifying the back up plan for the Bengals.

The back up quarterback competition cleared up a little bit as Josh Johnson became the more clear cut back up over John Skelton. Johnson has the arm and the legs to carry the team if Dalton goes down. Johnson went 5/7 for 73 yards and 27 rush yards. Johnson also has a better understanding of the playbook where Skelton does not.

Cincinnati takes on the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas next Saturday at 8pm. Remember to watch Hard Knocks Tuesday at 10pm.
