Everybody is used to seeing Aroldis Chapman throw his fastball all the time basically. He did to the at bat player catcher Jonathan Lucory but he threw a slider that Lucory hit it to the left field seats with Jean Seguria on first as lead off the inning with infield single for a walk off homerun as the Reds fall to the Brewers 7-6 Friday Night at Miller Park. It was Chapman’s fifth blown save of the year in 35 chances.

The loss ended the Reds five game winning streak, and missed a chance to leapfrog the Cardinals for 2nd place in the NL Central and to creep closer to first place Pittsburgh. Instead, they drop to 3 1/2 behind the Pirates and remain 1/2 game behind St Louis for second.

The loss spoiled a great night for third baseman Todd Frazier who had three hits and knocked it four RBI’s. In the first had a two out two-run single, a solo homerun in the fourth inning, and a RBI single to break a 5-5 tie in the seventh.

Reds starter Mike Leake struggled last night just going five innings, allowed four runs on nine hits and two walks and three strike outs as the Brewers hit the ball we against the right hander.

Tonight’s pitching matchup should be a good one as it will be the Reds ace this year Mat Latos seeking his 13th win of the season and he will be opposed by Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo. First pitch is at 7:10pm.
