Cashmere Wright Signs Professional Contract.

Former Cincinnati Bearcats Basketball player Cashmere Wright made big news yesterday as he took it to social media to announce it. It was around the noon hour i was viewing my Facebook and I’m friends with Wright and he put a status that put a smile into my face it read “Just signed my First Pro Contract.. Can’t announce where yet but God is Great. Pro Athlete Aboard!.”

As of right now we don’t know what team Wright will join, but it looks like he will be playing basketball outside of the United States and for him he certainly deserves it because he has worked so hard to get there. In his Freshman year at Cincinnati he torn his ACL making him to red shirted that year, with overcoming that Wright came back and even better though he battled through shoulder and knee injuries his senior year he toughed it out

and that’s what Bearcat Nation will remember him for.

Wright in his career at Cincinnati is the only player in history to score more than 1,300 points, 475 assists, and 175 steals through his five years wearing the bearcats uniform. He also is the all-time steals leader in the school history with 198 steals. In his junior year he broke the record for the most steals in a season with 74.

Following Wright through all his years in Cincinnati Ive seen him grown as a player and a man its truly grateful to see him get this opportunity though its not the NBA as he probably would have wanted he at least get to still play the game of basketball that he loves. Once again congratulations Cashmere Wright.
