Did Nick Masset Join The Witness Protection Program?

Nick Masset used to be one of the staples of the Reds’ bullpen, but now he might be working at Staples.

Masset has been on the disabled list since the beginning of the 2012 season due to shoulder issues. A lot of fans have probably forgotten all about Mr. Masset, and perhaps some are wondering if he joined the Witness Protection Program. Okay, maybe no one was wondering that, but if you were, he didn’t. He did not join the Witness Protection Program.

Masset is still a member of the Reds, and was hoping to play at some point this season, but in spring training he suffered a big setback, something he says happens far too often; “I get to a point where everything’s feeling great. It’s strong and flexible. All of the sudden, I’ll get a little pinch in the back of my shoulder. We have to re-evaluate things and make sure everything’s feeling good.”

Nick says he is throwing close to 100 percent, and hopes he can make it back to the big leagues, however he says he “can’t really put a date on it.”
