Cincinnati Reds Begin Tough Stretch.

The Cincinnati Reds are 18-8 since May 3rd that is the 2nd best record in the majors since that time behind their arch rival St. Louis Cardinals who currently have the best record in the majors. The Reds in that stretch of wins played teams under. 500 until they play the Cleveland Indians on Monday. They took two at home and loss the last two in Cleveland.

Starting tonight the Reds will be in Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates who currently have the second best record in the majors I repeat the PITTSBURGH PIRATES! They are on a roll due to the fact their starting pitching and bullpen is leading the way. Johnny Cueto will get the ball for game 1 of the series tonight his last start in PNC he would like to forget cause he left the game on April 13 in the 5th inning with a lat muscle that unfortunately landed him on the disabled list. Reds will look for revenge as they were swept in Pittsburgh on April 13-15.

After the Pirates series they will head back home to start a 6 game homestand against the surprising Colorado Rockies and the marquee series next weekend against the St Louis Cardinals. The Reds schedule in June will be a whole lot tougher than in May so it’s time to step it up especially on the road cause they are 13-14 away from GABP.
