In Joey Votto’s first at bat of the game he struck out on a bad pitch that you will never see Joey chase it well he did and he was mad as ever as we could see in the TV live as Fox Sports Ohio catches everything Votto said as he was yelling some words I can’t say on here keep it G rated next time Joey kids are watching. But Votto made up for it in the bottom of the eight inning as he connected on a two run homerun in a 2-2 game at the time to help the Reds beat the Indians 4-2 on this Memorial Day Afternoon at Great American Ballpark.

Reds starter Mike Leake pitched 7 1/3 innings he is  proving the doubters all wrong so far. He allowed a pinch hit homerun to Jason Giambai in the eighth to tie the game at two which chased Leake out of the game. Leake allowed 2 runs, one walk and striking out seven.

Shin Soo Choo playing against his former team you know he was fired up to play them in the bottom of the first inning he hit a leadoff homerun to left his 10th of the year off Indians starter Ubaldo Jimenez  to give the Reds a 1-0 lead. It was Choo’s third leadoff homerun of the season.

In the bottom of the eight inning Choo leadoff with a single to center to get it started. Choo advanced to second on a pass ball. Zack Cozart moved Choo to third on a sac fly. Then, stepped in Joseph Daniel Votto on a 2-1 pitch he hit a ball to left field where Votto loves to hit his homers in Great American for a two run homerun the game winner. A little incident happened in the ninth as Aroldis Chapman throw behind Indians player Nick Swisher twice one of them almost hit him it got testy but to me its not a big deal no way Chapman is trying to hit him.

With the win Reds are now 19-7 at home best record in the National League and have won 17 of their last 22 games. It was also the 4th straight sellout game at the GABP great to see Reds fans coming out supporting a great team. Reds will send Mat Latos tomorrow night in game 2 of the series. First pitch is at 7:10pm lets fill up Great American for the 5th straight game should be a great day weather wise tomorrow.
