Through four innings Homer Bailey was in curse control until the 5th inning and 6th inning knocked him out of the game as he  gave up three home runs, and the Cardinals scored four in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth as the Cards rout the Reds 10-0 to take the series and continue the Reds struggles to win a series’ in St Louis as I wrote this morning 3-22-2 well now you can add 3-23-2 its unbelievable!

After the Reds score 9 runs in the ninth inning on Monday besides that its clearly that the Cardinals outplayed the Redlegs with great starting pitching and a boat load of strike outs as the Reds were swinging and missing a lot in this series.  Homer final line in the game was he allowed seven runs on nine hits over five-plus innings with three walks and two strikeouts.

During a scoreless duel over the first four innings against the Cards’ Jake Westbrook, Bailey seemed to be in good shape and throwing well. That included a six-pitch bottom of the second inning and i thought Homer was going to go 7 or 8 innings to save the bullpen as they been used a lot during the last couple of games.

But with two outs in the fifth everything changed just like as Bailey was having trouble throwing strikes and locating pitches, St. Louis suddenly erupted . Jon Jay who you can add in the list of hitters that have own Cincinnati in the category of “Reds Killer” hit a pitch just out of Shin-Soo Choo’s glove over the center-field wall for a  homer run. After a single and Holliday’s RBI double, Carlos Beltran was up who had no hits in the series delivered the huge blow,  hit a pitch to right field for a two-run bomb and a 4-0 Cardinals lead and basically that was the dagger.

The Red birds continued to add on in the sixth, as Bailey was unable to get out of the inning. Matt Adams the same guy who hit a pinch hit two run home run last night did it to the Reds again today crushed a pitch into the right-field seats for a two-run homer. Bailey’s day was finished after a ball was hit on a lined  off of Bailey’s leg that went into left field for a double.

Reliever Logan Ondrusek who was called up from double A as Sean Marshall was placed on the 15 day disabled list today recorded two outs before he allowed homer run when the game was already out of reach.

The Reds will have the day off tomorrow in Pittsburgh as they will begin a 3 game series in PNC Park on Friday and was also will start a stretch where they will play 20 straight days of baseball starting Friday night tough road ahead but this team is probably happy they will be leaving St. Louis.
